Famous Florida Man "Lt. Dan" Is Unharmed After Riding in His Boat During Hurricane Milton
A Tampa man nicknamed "Lieutenant Dan" is protected subsequent to braving Tropical storm Milton in his boat.
In recordings shared by columnists on X (previously known as Twitter) late on Wednesday, Oct. 9, the man — who has been named after the person played by entertainer Gary Sinise in the 1994 hit film Forrest Gump — should have been visible in his 20-foot boat on the water after the typhoon made landfall as a Classification 3 tempest.
Kevin O'Donnell, an anchor for neighborhood news source FOX 13 News, posted a clasp with the subtitle, "Lieutenant Dan" UPDATE: He made due to discuss his wild evening braving Typhoon Milton on his 20 ft boat. #LieutenantDan #HurricaneMilton."
In the video, O'Donnell focuses in on the boat as the man — whose genuine name is Joseph Malinowski — inquires, "Hey, how you doing? It's Lieutenant Dan."
